ABOUT
Margaret Rohr
sole proprietor, Dalton Reed Interiors
THE BACK STORY
Born and raised in the Deep South, Margaret has always had a passion for good decorating and beautiful spaces. Growing up in Alabama, everything revolved around the family home. Entertaining, celebrating and relaxing were all done at home; therefore, it became a major focus of her energy, love and attention.
THE PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Margaret earned a her undergraduate degree from Birmingham-Southern College and then attended The New York Institute of Art and Design, where she earned her certification in Interior Design.
After college, marriage, kids and several careers, she decided to pursue the passion that had been brewing for twenty years. Ready to start a new business to help people refresh, renew, and redecorate their homes, Margaret embarked on her career in interior decorating. Having worked on many, many homes over the years, she has been able to gain knowledge in renovating older homes, making the blank slate of a brand new house feel like home, and jazzing up old, tired interiors -- she has done it all.

THE MISSION
Prior to working in interior decorating, Margaret ran a portrait studio, through which she honed many skills that have developed her eye for good decorating: scale, composition, use of color, contrast, good lighting, and pattern mixing. She enjoys taking form and function and making it beautiful. Using a client’s own style as inspiration, her goal is to find ways to create a comfortable, inviting space that never feels overdone. And at the end of the day, the most important thing to Margaret is that you LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE.

What Clients Have to Say
"Margaret has done a fantastic job helping me to furnish and decorate my new home in Sarasota. I moved here from 'Up North' with very little furniture, so it has been a 'blank canvas' project. Margaret is a delight to work with: she's collaborative, practical (most expensive is not always the best!), responsive, and really listens to understand your style and budget. I so appreciate Margaret's ideas, energy, and partnership in helping me create the kind of home I was hoping for!"
