I take on a wide variety of interior design projects, from new construction and large-scale remodels to designing one or two rooms at a time.

While I’m happy to work on projects of different sizes, I find that the best results typically occur when I’m involved in designing an entire home. This allows me to create a cohesive look and ensure that the colors, furnishings, fabrics, finishes, and overall style flow consistently from room to room.

Because of the level of involvement I provide, I generally don’t take on very small, singular projects such as selecting one window treatment or purchasing one or two pieces of furniture.

Every project begins with an initial conversation so I can learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking to accomplish.

From there, we’ll meet in person, over Zoom, or at the job site—whichever makes the most sense for your project. We’ll discuss your goals, determine the scope of work, and establish the design fee and payment structure.

Once we’ve agreed on the scope and fee, we’re ready to get started!

As involved as you want to be!

Some clients enjoy being part of every decision, while others prefer to hand the project to me and let me handle the details. Most clients fall somewhere in between.

I can work with a completely clean slate, or we can incorporate furniture, artwork, and other pieces you already own. My goal is to create a home that feels beautiful, cohesive, and—most importantly—like you.

Most of my projects are billed hourly, along with a commission on purchased goods. For some projects, a flat design fee may make more sense.

Every project is different, so we’ll discuss the scope of work, design fee, and purchasing structure together before we begin. You’ll know how the project will be billed and what to expect before any work starts.

I  have access to a wide range of designer resources and typically purchase much of my furniture through a local designer showroom that services both Florida and North Carolina. This gives my clients access to quality pieces and trade-only resources that may not be available to the general public.

All purchases are made below the suggested retail price. I purchase furniture and furnishings at my designer cost and then mark them up 25–30%.

We’ll discuss the purchasing and markup structure before the project begins so you clearly understand how these costs are handled.

I handle the entire process for you. This includes coordinating receiving, arranging for items to be stored until they are needed, and inspecting goods when they arrive.

If something arrives damaged, I take care of coordinating the necessary repairs, replacements, or claims. My goal is to manage the details and logistics so you don’t have to.

I work in both North Carolina and Florida and can take on projects throughout the United States.

I do like to make at least one in-person site visit so I can see the space with my own eyes and get a true feel for the project. After that, much of the design process can be handled remotely through Zoom, phone calls, email, and other digital tools.

Having homes in both Western North Carolina and the Sarasota, Florida area allows me to work comfortably in both markets while also serving clients in other parts of the country.
