She loved coral. He loved blue. We built the whole house around both, with grasscloth on nearly every wall to tie the rooms together as you move through them. The kitchen pairs a white oak island and woven pendants with soft blue leather barstools, and the dining room leans into texture with a beaded chandelier, seagrass armchairs, and framed ibis prints. Upstairs, the coral gets its moment: a warm pink bedroom with a pale dresser and flamingo art, a seagrass headboard with a coral bench at the foot, and a bath wrapped in linen grasscloth with a capiz pendant. A complete remodel of a waterfront home, from the flooring to the wallpaper, lighting, drapery, furniture, and accessories. Coastal, with not a single seashell soap dish in sight.
